Description

I ttly forgot what this one was originally called...

ANYWAY, another self portrait. We were using Mylar, or some transparent material (hence my achingly original title up there).

My original concept was to have this self portrait, with a band of word bubbles over the head with my thoughts, very reflective of my personality, and this band over my heart with this very graphic heart full of deign elements (Awesomely enough, the :iconfaex: logo), and this band over my hips that was this pelvis, to represent growing up, my want for a family, and my issues with being a lesbian and not being able to have that as easily as some.

It ended up with the word bubbles nixed, and with the cut out matted on, because the strips didn't lay as flat as I had hoped, and you just couldn't see the art behind it. I still my try to some day find a way to work in the word bubbles, cause I love that idea, but I'm really happy with this.

Also, the original is WAY TO FUCKING BIG. I hated carrying it back and forth to class.

Too beautiful for me to use my words, but I am going to try.

I am in love with the coloring. Especially on the face and neck. And lips. And eyes. And eyebrows. Which is all on the face away. The facial expression it wonerful- it's very expressive and says a lot about you as a person.
The flow of the peices of hair look wonderful, and they all come together wonderfully!
The background and bubbles are beautifully blended upon inspection, but don't distract from the portrait.

The anatomy and pose are flawless as far as I can tell, and I lvoe the shading and design of the first. The detail of the pelvis BLOWS MY MIND.
